Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01) announced today that the New Mexico Primary Care Association (NMPCA) will receive a $1.06 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to support Community Health Centers in New Mexico.

“The care and services provided by these health centers are critical for the well-being of families and children. I am pleased our district will receive this grant, which will expand access to care and help improve the health of underserved and vulnerable populations in New Mexico,” said Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham.

Eileen Goode, RN BSN, CEO of New Mexico Primary Care Association said, “We greatly appreciate Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham and her support for Community Health Centers. It is a privilege to provide training, technical assistance and support to New Mexico’s Community Health Centers.”

The New Mexico Primary Care Association (NMPCA) is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation. Its 19 member organizations are community-based charities that provide medical, dental, substance use and behavioral health services. They operate more than 160 clinics and provide a variety of services throughout New Mexico, including school-based programs, inpatient mental health, urgent care clinics and emergency medical transportation across rural counties. NMPCA serves as a liaison to State and Federal agencies and works on behalf of the member health centers to develop and provide a wide range of support services.
