Lujan Grisham Statement on Announcement That Affordable Care Act Employer Responsibility Requirement Will Start in 2015

Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01) released the following statement on the news that the Obama Administration is simplifying the reporting requirements and allowing businesses more time to adapt their health coverage:

“This is good news for New Mexico businesses, which have expressed concerns to me about the lack of clear guidance regarding health insurance provided through employers. The additional year will allow the federal government to simplify reporting requirements and make the process easier to understand. At the same time, it is important that we ensure that employees will have access to health insurance in 2014 through the new health insurance marketplace if they are not already insured through their employers.”
