Lujan Grisham to Deal with Conservation, Forestry and Nutrition Issues on Agriculture Committee

Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham will serve as the ranking Democrat on the Conservation and Forestry Subcommittee of the House Committee on Agriculture. She will also continue to serve on the Nutrition Subcommittee.
"I look forward to working with Subcommittee Chairman Thompson to examine many of the issues that threaten our forest, such as drought, overgrowth, and wildfires," Rep. Lujan Grisham said. "Through this Subcommittee, I hope to drive policy that will result in efficient conservation practices, healthier forest reserves and stronger watershed programs throughout the nation.
"I am also pleased that I will continue to serve on the Nutrition Subcommittee, which provides opportunities for me to fight hunger and tackle nutrition issues," Rep. Lujan Grisham said. "These issues are top priorities for me because New Mexico has the highest rates of child and senior hunger in the nation."
